The Annual 2006 Billboard Touring Award was presented recently to Kenny Chesney, who wins this award for the 2nd year in a row. The Road And The Radio Tour of 06 was a hands down winner and certainly no surprise to me. Congrats to Kenny and the band for a series of performances that will be remembered by the fans.

You can look forward to not seeing much of Kenny over the next little while as he plans on taking a well deserved break. The past 3 years have been virtually non-stop for the guys, recording 3 new albums, touring and publicity shows, and, oh yeah, that marriage to Rene. All of that has left Kenny feeling a bit drained. As he told X-Radio recently, "So this year, I'm gonna get away for a while." Kenny basically wants to get re-charged for his live shows.

Thanks to all who wrote to inform me that the 60 Minutes piece did not air as scheduled due to the death of Mr. Ed Bradley.

Well two high school football teams from Connecticut (Windham and New Britain), will be battling it out Sat nite (2nd Dec 06) for the High School State Championship. The Windham coach Brian Crudden, has managed to rally his players to adopt Kenny's "Never Gonna Feel That Way Again" as the school Anthem for 2006. And their taking their rallying song all the way to the championship game in New Britain tomorrow nite. Will Kennys 2006 winning streak rub off on Windham? The team believes so.

Kenny may be taking a bit of a breather, but he is scheduled to record another duet with Reba as she puts together a new a upcoming album of "Reba McEntire Superstars Duets" with not only Kenny, but Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill, Don Henley, Justin Timberlake, Kelly Clarkson and LeAnn Rimes will also join her. No date on when that will be available as yet.

The Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival out in the Palm Springs California area last year drew 60,000 fans on each day of the two day event. Next year the organizers are adding a 3rd day to the event from Friday, April 27 through Sunday, April 29 at Empire Polo Field in Indio. And then on the 1st weekend in May they're doing it again, but this time with country music artists such as Willie Nelson, George Strait and Kenny Chesney. And there may be more acts added, so if yo ulive on the West coast, ya may wanna mark that weekend on the calendar.

There has been talk that Kenny will be writing a book about his failed marriage to Rene Zellweger. How true this is cannot be confirmed, but I'll be watching this one as I'm sure many others will be also.

And what started out as a great idea to shoot the video for "You Save Me" in Cuba, was not such a great idea afterall. Cubian authorities were not so keen to have the film crew do their shoot on Cuban soil and didn't actually give the aircrew permission to land the plane. So things were re-scheduled and "You Save Me" shot instead near Mexico City.

Do You Google?
If you've been surfing and have had to face an on-slaught of pop-up windows, is where you need to go to download Googles Free Pop Up Blocker. It works with the FireFox Browser as well as Linux and XP, but after you download and install it, you'll need to View>Toobars>Google Toolbar to turn it on.

A Computer Tip Before You Go
If you still use the CRT Monitors and not the flat screeen monitors, here is a power saving tip. Before you walk away from your computer, turn the power off the monitor. You can leave your tower on, but shut off the monitor. Not only is 85% of the computers power comsumption used up by the old CRT monitors, but they also give off extra heat.
